On September 25, 2011 the We Are All The Same Inside - Sage doll-making workshop and Timothy D. Bellavia '97 joined twenty-three other alumni, spanning almost 15 summers of art (and doll) making at Skowhegan. Here is WAATSI * Sage doll making friend Jayne leading "hands on - minds on" peacemaking activities at the Heartsong / Red section this past Saturday, September 3, 2011 in Rockville, MD. NOTE: the Sage doll made in Mattie J.T. Stepanek's likeness ... We indeed played after the storm.

The WAATSI * Sage doll making workshop traveled to Washington D.C. Together we volunteered as well as made peace possible by setting camp at the Heartsongs / RED station at the Mattie J.T. Stepanek Park in Maryland. Several participants made their own Sage dolls in the likeness of peacemakers such as Yoko Ono, Gandhi, Jimmy Carter, Oprah, Nile Rodgers, Bono, and Mattie himself.

Other activities the the Heartsongs RED station included: "Expressing Heartsongs" with the We are Family Foundations / Mattie J.T. Stepanek magnet set and the "Peace in our Hands" project ...
